First things first... If you've never worked with any word-processor type software then you should take a quick look at the toolbar functions. When in your editor holding your mouse over each icon (small picture or symbol) in the toolbar will give you a tip to it's function.

Click Here for an explination of toolbar functions.

File Manager

...Manage your files and directories.
When you click "File Manager" this is what you'll see and where you can view and work with your files.
You can configure any page anyway you like using the online editor as you would any word processor. Just delete or type over text. Create a new blank page to work with or copy a page to use as a template for a new one. You can drag and drop text and/or images as well as copy sections from other web pages anywhere and paste into yours.

Editing

Clicking on a page link (Ex: contact.html) from the File Manager will open your web page editor with that page loaded ready to edit.

Home Page: index.html
Your home page filename should always be "index.html". That way your primary URL (web address) can simply be "findanutritionist.com/yoursite"; web browsers automatically load index.html.
If you are editing index1.html don't forget to rename it and any referring links to it as index.html when you are ready to go live with your new site.

PAGE LINKING:
To create a link select (highlight) your text or click on an image.
Then click on the "Insert link" icon
If you are linking to pages on your site then all you need to do is click on the page you want to link to.
EMAIL LINK:
You create an email link just as you would a page link only for the URL enter "mailto:you@youraddress.com" without the quotes, using your email address where you@youraddress.com is shown.

Formatting

Paragraph: To start a new paragraph just hit your "Enter" (return) key.
Line Break: To start a new line hold "Shift" and hit your "Enter" key.
You can also highlight text and drag it to a new location on the page just as in a word processor.

Style: Used to format elements of you document.
For example you can easily create headings in your document by defining their style.

This is Header 1

This is Header 3

This is Header 5
List types, bullet and numbered, can be accessed from the toolbar as well as here and are demonstrated on the Toolbar Overview.

Font: Although you may have hundreds of fonts on your computer, that doesn't mean that everyone will have the same fonts on their computer. Therefore you should use what is referred to as web safe fonts, these are :

Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana, Courier New, Georgia, and Tahoma (size value 2).

Font Size: The general text of this document is done in Verdana size 1.
Size 1 Size 2 Size 3 Size 4 Size 5 Size 6 Size 7

Images (Pictures/Graphics) You can insert a picture by clicking on the Insert Image icon . You can upload your pictures by clicking on "Upload File(s)" It will be available to you when you click on the "Insert image" icon in your tool bar. Select it from the Image drop down list after you have clicked on the "Insert image" icon. You will be presented with a preview of the image.
If you do not have a picture to upload but would like to use a graphic from another location on the Internet you can enter that image's URL. You can find the URL of any image you see on the Internet by right-clicking on it and selecting "Properties". Copy the URL (Address) and paste it in the appropriate area and that image will appear in your page where you've placed it. Click on the picture to move it by dragging. You can also resize the image by dragging the little edit squares to your desired size.

Tables
To create text with certain layout properties you will need to use the "Table" icon. This is true in all word processors. This is useful when you need to line up information such as this:
A Table Cell in top rowA CellAnother Cell
A Table Cell in the second rowAnother CellA Cell
A Table Cell in the Third rowAnother CellA Cell

This table is 80% wide and the border is 0. Here is the same table with a border with the value of 1.
A Table Cell in top rowA CellAnother Cell
A Table Cell in the second rowAnother CellA Cell
A Table Cell in the Third rowAnother CellA Cell
You can resize a table by moving your mouse over the edges (border) and when your mouse changes shape click on it. You'll notice the table will be selected indicated by placeholders (little transparent squares at corners and sides). Just click on one of these and drag to the desired size. You should plan your table carefully before you create it because once it is created you cannot add additional rows or columns.
